Q: What versions does this mod support?
A: 1.153+ (That means 1.153 and higher, yes, even 1.168 works with this mod).
Q: Mod is crashing or my mouse gets stuck and I can't see it
A: When launching mod, click configure then click video and lower "Texture detail" and check the box that says "Load textures on demand"
You might have to lower the texture details all the way to 10% if you keep crashing.
Q: WSELoader.exe or Floris_Evolved.exe asks me for my CDKey!
A: Run Native at least once without WSELoader, get to the main menu, then quit normally, WSELoader.exe will no longer ask you for your CDKEY.
Q: Player faction troops are none existant! (You can however opt in for other faction units when recruiting, this issue is unlikely to affect you!)
A: this is NOT a bug, this is intended because player faction troops would take a long time to implement into multiplayer.
Q: Will this mod work with a Mac & Linux? & All my textures are white or missing
A: The support for those platforms is limited (You can give the mod a try without doing anything below and see how it goes), its likely i'll have to change the shaders and optimize them for those operating systems (GLSL) for it to work properly, but read below there is a way to get the game to a playable state, as usual Wine and other emulators might be your best chance.
This is an issue I know of, its rather difficult to address, for now if you want to get the game to a playable state you might have to go through this if you aren't planinng on using Wine or an Emulator to play Warband: Read this thread [forums.taleworlds.com] & If you experience font issues then use this: Mac & Linux Compatible Fonts & Font Texture
Q: How can we support you?
A: As of now, you can rate us in Steam & ModDB, & Endorse us in NexusMods [www.nexusmods.com] & Follow my WorkShop & You can tell your friends about the mod, spread the word to the world!
Q: Steam Overlay dosen't work with WSELoader.exe or Floris_Evolved.exe
A: Solution: Run Steam as Admin (Go to where you installed Steam, find Steam.exe > Right click it > Properties > Compatibility Tab > Run this program as Administrator > Hit Apply, then OK. Restart Steam, In Steam click "ADD A GAME" > Add none-steam game > Browse > Find WSELoader.exe or Floris_Evolved.exe and check the box next to them > Click ADD SELECTED PROGRAMS > Launch them through the Steam library and you'll have your overlay.
Q: Will this mod work without WSE?
A: Yes, but it will be with limited support, without WSE you should expect to run into: Script errors in every scene change, and you won't be able to play Co-Op (Won't be able to join co-op nor host it), other than that no game-breaking issues and should be playable.
Q: Can I use WSE 4.2.6+ instead?
A: No, this is built with WSE 3.2, it will probably not work properly with WSE 4.2.6, althrough I've had a bit of success getting it to work with WSE 4.2.6.
Q: What is the difference between this version and the moddb/nexus versions?
A: Most of the time there is little difference (different blood textures, and sometimes different sprites but that's it, there is and will always be 100% compatibility between the mirrors).
Q: I don't see the ability to host co-op battles anymore
A: You probably got patched to a newer version, with every patch mod options will be reset, please go to Camp > Mod Options and enable battle_time again.
Q: I can't see my mouse when launching this mod.
A: When launching the mod Click "Configure" and go to "Video" Tab, then reduce the texture detail, and check the box that says "Load textures on demand", start at 10% texture detail, if it fixes the issue then get the texture detail higher and higher until you can't see the mouse, then that's your sweet spot.
Q: My game save broke, what can I do about it?
A: Always use WSELoader.exe or Floris_Evolved.exe when saving games, and do not overwrite your save with a none WSELoader.exe save and visa versa.
Q: How does the Co-Op work in this mod?
A: It works in a way where your friends or players can join you during an encounter, if you ran to an enemy party you can host the game and call your friends to assist you, or instead to be in the other side and try to kill you!
Q: How do I use the Active Inventory (In Co-Op)?
A: Press ESC and Click "Access Inventory" before the battle starts, you can equip yourself as a companion with any item the host has in their inventory as long as you have the skills for it.
Q: What ports do I need to forward to host M&B Warband servers?
A: Ports necessary to be forwarded correctly: 7240, 7241, and 7242, make sure you disable the Anti-Cheat option when hosting a server otherwise you'll have to port forward Steam's VAC port aswell.
Q: How to join a Co-Op Server?
A: --Joining a co-op game instructions--
1. Launch the game with WSELoader.exe or Floris_Evolved.exe.
2. Go to the server browser
3. Join A Floris_Evolved server (Sort by Module for easy acess or by name depending on the server you want to join).
Q: How do I use the cheatmenu?
A: Enable the cheatmenu the normal way (google it if you don't know how), then click Reports > Debug&Cheats.
Q: I don't get the option to host a Co-Op game.
A: Go to Camp (Bottom left) > Mod Options > Enable Battle_Time (Check the box) now you'll be able to host encounters.
Q: Font is too big, or font dosen't work properly, or I don't like the font.
A: Go to Floris_Evolved/data and edit the FONT_DATA.XML.
If you want to make the text smaller then change the size from 65 to a lower amount.
If you want to remove the font you'll have to replace it with another font, you can use Native's font found in the root directory of warband/data folder, grab it and replace it on the Floris_Evolved's FONT.DATA.xml, you can use same method to change font to a different mods font.
For the lazy, use this Mac/Linux Compatible FONT.DATA.XML, place it inside the Floris_Evolved/data folder and overwrite with it: Mac & Linux Compatible Fonts & Font Texture
Now launch the mod and see if everything is fine, if it isn't then go to Floris_Evolved/Textures and delete "FONT.DDS" *Backup this file before deleting it*
Q: Can I restore the player faction troops?
A: Probably, but I won't provide support for that.
Q: Should we expect another mod from you lads?
A: Hell yeah, make sure to follow us and rate our mod to help us out!
Q: Game is too Dark sometimes, what can I do about it?
A: Try increasing monitor gamma/brightness, if that is not enough, you can try deleting the following files inside your Floris_Evolved to remove the graphical enhancements which make the game a bit darker:
post.fx
mb.fx
fx_confgiratuon
Deleting those files will remove the custom graphics shader which increase the games graphic fidelity/prettiness, however it will make the game no longer as Dark as it is.
Q: How can I increase the party sizes or can I use TweakMB to adjust some settings?
A: Yes, use the Floris_Expanded 2.54 profile when using TweakMB.
Q: Can I use the English troop names?
A: Yes, they can be used.
Q: Does this mod have any other languages?
A: As of now, not yet but it can work under any system regardless of localization.
Q: Where can I report bugs?
A: Moddb or Nexusmods, however you can report them here in the Steam Discussions appropriate threads as well.
--Bugs, possibly bugs, and known issues--
X Floris_Evolved may show an incorrect module name if you download it from the workshop, please move it to the Module folder of your warband installation and name it "Floris_Evolved" you should now be able to properly join any Floris_Evolved server.
And pretty much every reported bug in the steam discussions and moddb/nexusmods which will be added here later.
